I peak into my old office and see everyone in there and I know that I'm no longer a part of that team and everything they do. So I know the weirdness of leaving your old team even if you're still going to be able to see them throughout the day. Do what I'd do. Just understand that whatever team you are on at any given point in your life is the coolest team there is, simply because you are now a member of that team.
